  1. Four Seasons Kuda Huraa

Four Seasons Kuda Huraa, located just 25 minutes by speedboat from Male, offers stunning beaches and traditional Maldivian architecture, as well as family-friendly amenities. It features 96 villas and bungalows inspired by thatched architecture both on land and water; many come equipped with private pools as well as bathrooms offering luxurious oversized tubs with outdoor showers for added luxury. In addition, Four Seasons Kuda Huraa boasts an outstanding spa accessed via traditional Maldivian boat transport as well as four restaurants/bars/sandbank barbecues/private overwater gazebos to take in everything the resort has to offer!

We were lucky to stay in a large Beach Bungalow with Pool, which was an ideal size for our family of four. It had a spacious wraparound deck equipped with not one but two overwater nets to relax on and an upper and lower seating area equipped with lounge chairs and umbrella. Plus there was even more than enough loungers around in addition to its main swimming area!

Villa was located just a short walk from the beach, yet we could still hear waves crashing upon shore while relaxing in our room – incredible soundscape! Bathroom had amazing features including soaking tub, separate walk-in shower with large window and beautiful outdoor shower – we would absolutely recommend it as accommodation choice!

All rooms include twice-daily housekeeping services and complimentary fresh fruit, coffee and tea, flat-screen TVs and beach villas are equipped with private plunge pools. Although this resort is all-inclusive, I didn’t stay for dinner or lunch during my stay there so cannot attest to how they fare.

Baraabaru and Reef Club provide Asian and Italian cuisine respectively, while casual Cafe Huraa and Kandu Grill served up tasty meals on our final evening there. There were several meal plan packages available at the hotel as well; we opted for Bed and Breakfast which includes daily buffet service at Cafe Huraa plus two a la carte meals per day.
