Designed by Hirsh Bedner Associates

The Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is a luxurious resort situated on an idyllic island in the Indian Ocean. Offering various amenities – such as private beaches and outdoor tennis courts – as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, Turkish steam bath bathing sessions, kids club services, an on-site games room and relaxing rooms equipped with iPod docking stations and coffee makers, this resort makes an excellent destination.

At Villa de Palmares, guests can choose from 120 luxurious villas ranging from two to five bedrooms. Each villa combines modern natural style with indigenous decor elements like carved wooden furniture and woven headboards inspired by local craft for an added pop of turquoise – not forgetting California king beds with twin vanities in each room – offering guests a truly memorable stay! Some villas also include private pools or spa suites.

Hirsh Bedner Associates created an eco-conscious resort design by employing both modern and sustainable concepts in its layout, with winding pathways surrounding a natural lagoon and featuring Jason deCaires Taylor’s Coralarium to promote coral growth in its lagoon environment. However, its controversial design violated Islamic law and was condemned by its president.

Guest can experience the true wonders of Maldives’ tropical environment while staying in one of Beach or Water villas, the largest accommodations available on the islands and each equipped with its own private pool. Decorated with tropical fabrics and natural materials, they boast luxurious bathrooms equipped with bathtub, Nespresso coffee maker and wine fridge – plus Bose sound systems, California king beds, Jacuzzis and terraces!

The Coralarium is the world’s first semi-submerged art gallery

The Coralarium is an art installation created to promote coral growth. Situated at a luxurious resort in Maldives, it features human-like sculptures made of marine-safe materials arranged into human figures that promote colonization by future coral polyps and provide shelter for marine life. Snorkelers and divers can access this installation at any time for free!

Jason deCaires Taylor, an environmental artist who also created Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park off Grenada in the Caribbean, devised this coral and biomass regeneration project. He created his latest venture – Coralarium – as a partially submerged tidal gallery featuring series of sculptural artworks made of pH neutral marine-grade stainless steel and marine-safe concrete sculptures.

Visitors to the museum can experience it through guided tours led by marine biologists from the hotel. Sculptures placed underwater resemble gateways between worlds above and below sea surface. Furthermore, our coral restoration project stands as the most high-end program of its kind in Maldives.

Coralarium is the perfect complement to Fairmont’s luxury resort, a haven of nature and culture alike. Guests can stay in Beach and Water Villas or Tented Jungle Villas; each comes equipped with its own private pool for the ultimate combination of rustic chic and natural elegance. Additionally, KATA and Azure Restaurants, Raha Market and Onu Onu restaurants feature Western fare fused with local flavors for an unparalleled dining experience.

The Beach Villas are the Maldives’ largest villas

These beach villas provide the ideal combination of nature and luxury, featuring rich timber hues and elegant hardwood furnishings in their design to provide the highest standard of luxury for your beachfront retreat. Each villa boasts a large deck featuring daybed and pool access for easy holiday relaxation while the bedroom includes an open-air bathroom equipped with freestanding tub for two.
